Our unit is strong in being a leading educational institution that trains intermediate staff equipped with advanced knowledge and skills, capable of teamwork and sharing culture, sensitive to public health and responsibilities, and competent in their work. Increasing the number of practice-oriented courses for our students and encouraging more research-oriented studies by our faculty members are areas open to improvement.

In line with the mission of the Pathology Laboratory Techniques Program, to become a leading educational institution that educates reliable pathology laboratory technicians with advanced professional knowledge and experience, a strong sense of responsibility, adherence to ethical principles, and the ability to adapt easily to changing scientific and social conditions, within an educational culture focused on knowledge, collaboration, and technology, and leading in innovation.

Program Educational Objectives
  • To train qualified health professionals equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills according to the outcomes of the program, designed based on national and international professional criteria in pathology laboratories of healthcare institutions.
  • To prepare body tissues and/or fluids for microscopic examination in pathology laboratories and perform necessary administrative and technical preparations before, during, and after the examination.
  • To develop the knowledge and attitude to understand and solve problems occurring in pathology laboratories within the scope of duties, authorities, and responsibilities, and to apply professional values and ethical principles in pathology laboratory services.
  • To train healthcare personnel with effective interpersonal communication and leadership skills who can work in harmony with interdisciplinary and laboratory teams during pre-, intra-, and post-pathology laboratory procedures.
